you cannot celebrate the reunification of germany while also enjoying the luxury of being able to buy toilet paper. it seems that these are mutually exclusive. you can´t buy socks either. or cheese for that matter –  which is a concern. luckily i have cheese supplies. unluckily, i don´t have anything else.

grocery shopping in the eve of a holiday here in bavaria is like zombie apocalypse meets black friday. and not in a good way. as in nobody is making any deals and everybody is running around like headless chicken. (in case you needed this spelled out, i am happy to provide this service.)
